New Westminster Police Museum
Activity:
The New Westminster police museum is located
in the newly renovated Federal Building and Post office located at 6th
Street and Columbia Street in New Westminster. On display are many
artifacts and photographs depicting the 129 year history of one of Canada's
oldest police forces. Also in the museum is an authentic jail cell that
was from the old police station. Kids can come in and, if the family has
a camera, can get their picture taken in jail. The museum also has a 1958
Harley Davidson police motorcycle that was once used by the New Westminster
Police from 1959 to 1971. Caps Bicycle has loaned it to the museum.
