A family-oriented community event reflecting the tradition of many cultures around the world where the days at the end of October and beginning of November are a time for honouring the dead in our lives through ceremony and celebration and the maintenance of family grave sites. All Souls is hosted by Mountain View Cemetery to honour and remember the dead.

The Fraser Valley Bald Eagle Festival is a two day family oriented event that celebrates the return of the eagles to the valley. In December 2010 over 7,000 of the majestic birds were counted in the Harrison River estuary. North Vancouver Community Arts Council presents Christine Breakell-Lee at the District Library Gallery
Vancouver based artist Christine Breakell-Lee received her degree in Fine Arts and Communication from SFU. Since her solo show Mixed Media in 2010, she has established a strong presence among private collectors and designers. Christine's paintings evoke a spectrum of emotion, often pulling from personal experience that she realizes through her process of abstraction, spontaneity and contrast. It is through this process of adding and layering paint beneath the resin that her work evolves. Christine is represented in Vancouver by Art Works and Buckland Southerst Gallery and in Toronto by Art Interiors. Her studio is located at 1000 Parker Street where she spends time painting each day. TapCo has been performing with ArtStarts in schools across BC for 10 years. They have entertained over 50,000 elementary school children with their all tap revue "Just in Time". Come learn a few steps and tricks from these amazing dancers and have some tap fun.

The Museum of Vancouver presents an exhibit of the works of Foncie Pulice, the last man standing from Vancouver's great era of post-war street photography. Creator of about 15 million images over his lifetime, Foncie captured Vancouverites in action as they strode the city streets. His photographs trigger vivid memories for long-time residents who recall the particular day, the hour, their companions, the circumstances.

Visit the ArtStarts Gallery and be immersed in an exciting sonic experience. Sound Play is an interactive exhibition exploring music, acoustics, composition and sound-making, featuring installations and artwork by students from across BC and by professional artists working with young people.
Pedal sound-making bikes, listen to original songs, experiment with a cymasium, play with musical instruments from around the world, and more. Come play with us! The ArtStarts Gallery is located at 808 Richards Street (at Robson) in downtown Vancouver. The Gallery is open Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
