Lighthouse Park - West Vancouver

This rugged and natural park is a shining example of west coast vegetation with conifers up to 500 years old, dense vegetation, rugged rocky shore, tidal pools and trails.  At water's edge is the 1912 Point Atkinson Lighthouse from which the park derives its name.  There are 6 miles of trails to explore.  This is a natural park and there is no playground equipment or concession. 

Details:

The drive out to the park is spectacular in itself.  Take Marine Drive west from the Lions Gate bridge past Ambleside Beach, the Dundarave area, the Caulfeild area, and through a winding road with ocean vistas, and luxurious homes.  For information call (604) 925-7000.
