The Redress Film Night is a complementary addition to the exhibit A Call for Justice: Fighting for Japanese Canadian Redress (1977-88), which opened on September 22, 2013 at the Nikkei National Museum. The exhibit marks the 25th anniversary of Japanese Canadian Redress, commemorating the signing of the Redress Agreement which took place on the same day in 1988. The signing of the Redress Settlement with the Government of Canada acknowledged injustices inflicted on Japanese Canadians during the Second World War.
