Fishing - Colebrook Trout Farm - Surrey

by Jenavieve

Activity:

We went fishing here last summer.  Colebrook Trout Farm is in South Surrey.  A bit primitive, and hard to find.  Three tanks hold the Trout.   You rent  bamboo poles, and bait.  Takes a while to hook the fish the first time.  Fish are farmed and therefore not that great tasting.  Our fish were kind of mushy tasting.  It's not that picturesque either as the tanks are near high tension electrical wires overhead.   But it was fun.

Age group:

Four years and up.

Expense rating:

Other than renting the bamboo pole and some bait ($1-2), you pay only for the fish you catch (by weight).  Call to get rates.

Entertainment coupon accepted.

:

You're almost guaranteed to catch something.

:

I prefer Fishing at Jericho Beach or Fishing - Ambleside Beach Pier.  Some children get a bit upset when the fish is killed.
